Oops, the bunnies are now killing the birds. I know! Lets poison the bunnies and rats! What could possibly go wrong?!?
Remember folks, the Law of Unintended Consequences is wily and, for the most part, unexpected for people that honestly think they can screw around with complex systems such as mother nature.
But don't worry, these are the same folks that are assuring you that CO2 is causing Global Warming.....errr....cool....umm....Climate Change! Yeah that's it. Or maybe Al Gore just needs another Nobel Peace Prize.
